The Victorian Historian” program is a unique one-hour event showcasing just how unusual and entertaining 19th and very early 20th century American history can be. This program consists of short stories, numerous photographs, rare footage and audio clips, and live demonstrations (some including audience participation).
From absurd superstitions, dangerous holiday games, and strange, failed inventions to forgotten disasters, terrifying toys, and much more, this program is sure to entertain both history and non-history enthusiasts alike. Viewers will be left amused, shocked, laughing, and possibly scratching their head in disbelief at how bizarre history can be. Come experience a unique look at the strange, unusual, and comical history of America’s 19th and early 20th century, dug up and presented by The Victorian Historian!
